James McCoy Taylor, a ‘Bachelorette’ season 12 alum, was arrested for DWI and carrying a weapon.

Us Weekly has confirmed that James McCoy Taylor, a contestant on season 12 of The Bachelorette, has been taken into custody.

According to court documents acquired by Us, the 35-year-old country singer was detained on Saturday, September 10, in Katy, Texas, on suspicion of DUI and illegal possession of a firearm. The news was first reported by In Touch.

James was eventually released on bond following his booking at the College Point Police Station. He had been detained under two different ones: a $4,000 bond for his possession of a pistol and a $2,000 fine for his DWI. The former reality television star hasn’t spoken out about his recent arrest yet. He doesn’t regret participating in reality TV, despite leaving without receiving the final rose.

But as of late, Taylor has reportedly been “exiled from Bachelor Nation,” according to Mike Fleiss, the show’s executive producer.

James McCoy Taylor wrote on Twitter: My attorney advised me not to say anything yet… but y’all know me. Very candid. Very open. I guess I’ll meet him in the middle and keep it short / maybe not as detailed as I’d like but let’s start with some facts:

Best known for participating in JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorette in 2016, the country musician has a large fan base. In the seventh week of the season, he was eliminated. Jordan Rogers and Fletcher became engaged during her season and are now wed.

James is now concentrating on his musical career. In recent months, he has shifted his focus to writing songs in favor of the late President Donald Trump, including the unofficial Trump anthem “Great Again” and the tribute song “Are You With Us or Not” to the military and police enforcement of the United States. Despite President Joe Biden winning the general election, the former ABC personality admitted last year that he went to the rally in support of President Donald Trump‘s bid to keep his job.
