In this thrilling five-part series, we’ll follow the married duo as they journey from the dazzling cityscape of Perth to the breathtaking Margaret River and beyond, deep into the mysterious Southern Forests.

As they embark on their journey, they’ll be awestruck by the breathtaking landscapes that surround them. Along the way, they’ll encounter an array of fascinating creatures, including playful dolphins, graceful stingrays, and the adorable quokkas of Rottnest Island. Fans are left curious about the personal life of the renowned chef, including his marital status and place of origin.

Where is John Torode from?

Meet John Torode, a Melbourne-born chef who spent his formative years in Maitland, New South Wales. Living with his brother Andrew and grandmother, John discovered his passion for cooking under his grandmother’s tutelage at the tender age of four. In this heart-wrenching tale, we follow John, the youngest of three boys, as he copes with the loss of his mother at the tender age of four. Forced to live with his grandmother, John yearns to be reunited with his father in Melbourne. Finally, after six long years, John’s wish is granted and he sets out on a journey to be with his beloved father once again.

His father was a successful businessman with interests in property, and commercial sales, and even held an orange juice factory. Soon enough, John had his heart set on becoming a chef. He left school at 16 to attend catering college. After a setback with the Cafeteria in Notting Hill Gate, he bounced back by opening his very own restaurant, Smiths of Smithfield, and later launching the Luxe in Spitalfields. After making regular appearances on the popular ITV Daytime show This Morning, he scored his biggest break yet as co-host of BBC’s MasterChef and Celebrity MasterChef alongside Gregg Wallace. In a heartwarming turn of events, he was bestowed with an MBE earlier this year for his outstanding contributions to both the culinary world and charitable causes.

Is John Torode a married man?

Indeed, John Torode is wedded to none other than the multi-talented actress, cookery writer, and presenter, Lisa Faulkner. In 2010, our protagonist crossed paths with a talented mother named Billie Coghill, who had won the coveted title of Celebrity MasterChef. In 2015, our beloved couple made their relationship official and in 2019, they tied the knot at the stunning Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire.

Previously in John’s love life, he was married to Angela and they had two children together, Casper and Marselle. Later, John tied the knot with Jessica and they had two teenagers, Jonah and Lulu. But now, John’s love story takes a new turn as he meets Lisa.

In a sneak peek of the upcoming show, Lisa teased that viewers will see John’s emotional side as he reminisces about his love for Australia. The duo will take audiences on a journey of rediscovery, exploring both familiar and uncharted territories, creating a truly enchanting experience. I’m so excited!
