How I Met Your Father Season 2 Episode 13 Recap

Nick discovers that Sophie considers him to be her father after listening in on their chat via a surveillance camera. Sophie reveals that her mom, Lori (Paget Brewster), met Nick briefly at Lollapalooza 30 years ago. They plan to spend time together as father and daughter by having lunch together the following day. Nick and Sophie have a hard time finding common ground but bond through their penchant for telling whoppers.

Relationship between Valentina and Swish: Val believes her lover, Swish, is cheating on her. She prepares to end their relationship but is shocked to learn that he has been secretly preparing a surprise engagement party. Val tries to figure out how to break up with Swish without making him feel bad because she isn’t interested in getting married or having kids.

The Adventures of Val and Ellen: At an open house, Val and her pal Ellen (Tien Tran), stumble across the residence of pop star and fashion queen Missy Mortiz. As a result of trying on Missy’s headgear and upsetting her, they are kicked out of the house. Swish’s grandmother’s ring goes missing, but Val finds it and returns it to Missy.

Nick tells Sophie that business at his hotdog stand has been slow since the neighboring bar closed. Sophie recommends that Nick sell his hotdogs at Pemberton’s in an effort to rescue his business. After a successful test run, Nick invites Sophie’s cousin to impersonate a hotdog vendor so that he can safeguard his turf.

Bar Crawl with Jesse and Charlie: Jesse, who hasn’t been on a date in a while, invites Charlie out to a local watering hole. Charlie’s English accent wins over the ladies but Jesse’s quips fall flat. They meet Julia and Angelina, and Jesse begins to imitate an English accent in an effort to woo ladies; it is later revealed that Angelina is already engaged.
