Gossip Girl Reboot Episode 2 Recap

In the premiere episode of Gossip Girl Reboot, Julien (Jordan Alexander) and Zoya (Whitney Peak) finally meet. Their reunion is marred by Gossip Girls manipulating them into a sibling rivalry on social media. Obie (Eli Brown) grew tired of playing the role of Julien in their relationship and split with her. As they share synergies inhumane causes, Obie’s friendship with Zoya grows. Will this strengthen their friendship?

Episode 2 opens with Constance’s annual parent/teacher meeting. Zoya tries to find her place at Constance Billard. It could cause two sisters to be separated or break up a friendship. Obie sent a photo of Miss Keller (Tavi Gevinson) to her GG DMs. She posted it to Gossip Girl despite Miss Keller’s GG voice being so specific. While Miss Keller is busy telling Nick Lott about Zoya, she discovers what a great student she is.

Audrey only wants her mother to be interested in her life, and to show up. Her mother Laura Benanti !!!)) shows up for a particularly awkward black-tie event. Audrey finally arrives for her but gets so drunk that it causes an embarrassing scene. Max (Thomas Doherty) wakes up in Audrey’s bed instead of her boyfriend. Julien arrives in the company of her distant father, Davis (Luke Kirby), with the intent to deliver Gossip Girl information on Zoya (Whitney Peak) directly from Obie. Although she wants her boyfriend to return, she doesn’t want Zoya to be destroyed.

Miss Keller sneaks up behind them to take their photo. Nick Lott, Davis Callaway finally meet.  Students and parents are both attending to raise funds for…other, less privileged students’ vague school supply requirements.  It will be a while, as Julien makes six more changes to her mind between now and the end about how she wants to deal/destroy her half-sister. Even Kate (Tavi Gevinson) did better this time. She tried to post some sexy content to keep the Instagram account alive, but she had to overcome some significant hurdles.

The new photo GG posted of #Zobie snoozing over three-ring-binders shows Julien sliding back into Gossip Girl’s DMs. The current plan is to reveal any dark Zoya secrets in the video to Obie and Davis and Nick live in front of the school supply shop. Julian discovers that Nick and Zoya are heading to the headmaster’s to retrieve Constance. Julian rushes against them. The episode ends with Obie  (Eli Brown) and Zoya walking down the hall together while Julien watches softly. Julien (Jordan Alexander) is verified as Gossip Girl in exchange for not using any dirt on Zoya.
