The last week episode of Ghosts, “Alberta’s Fan,” delves deeper into the past of Harlem Renaissance singer Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), but it also introduces the ghost to her biggest fan (who is still alive), paving the path for new insights regarding her unexplained death. While Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are still working on the restorations, a strange historian arrives in the hopes of establishing a link with Alberta’s ghost, completely ignorant that she is roaming the halls of Woodstone. His curiosity in Alberta pays off in the end, as he goes the additional mile and drinks some vintage moonshine only to discover that it is poisoned. Fortunately, Todd does not perish, allowing the entire house to understand that Alberta’s death may not have been caused by a heart attack, as the other ghosts had previously assumed.
