Denise Huskins Kidnapping Case:

Muller planned the kidnapping of Denise Huskins from her home in Vallejo, California, in 2015. At first, police thought the case was a fake because it had so many strange and complicated details. Drones were used by Muller to spy on Denise and her boyfriend Aaron Quinn before he broke into their home. He used a fake gun to tie up the couple and made them drink something that would put them to sleep. The victims were blindfolded while Muller played a recorded message, making it look like there was more than one attacker.

Denise was taken from her home in South Lake Tahoe to Muller’s house and held captive there for two days. She was then driven almost 500 miles and freed in Huntington Beach, California. Muller lied to a reporter in San Francisco by using an anonymous email address to say that the kidnapping was the work of high-level crooks.

The police had to wait months to find a link between Muller and the crime. He was finally caught after a break-in in Dublin, California, in June 2015. Muller forgot his phone when he tried to break in, and the investigation that followed showed that he had something to do with Denise Huskins’ theft. He admitted to federal kidnapping charges in 2016 and was given a 40-year prison term.
