Darnell agrees to help Josiah reach Nia’s people in return for not obeying Murphy in retaliation for his death. The four called their parents one last time to tell them they were hiking the Appalachian Trail with friends. At Sarah’s suggestion, Jean and Josh (Theo Bhat) talk to Murphy’s mother and find that the number called was a payphone. Max (Casey Deidrick) takes Jess (Brooke Markham) with him instead of Murphy (Perry Mattfeld); Jean and Josh get a clue that they can’t cross the border yet. A police officer arrives and pretends to see Murphy, they stop at the restaurant Felix (Morgan Krantz) and the hotel manager have sex. They pretend there are usually three of them. Felix is annoyed that Murphy is only interested in Max and describes him as a best friend. Max is hanging out with the bartender. Everyone said goodbye and parted ways. Murphy and Jess take different buses.
