[Series Finale] Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 Episode 10 Recap: The Last Laugh with Jerry Seinfeld

The final episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “No Lessons Learned,” aired after nearly 25 years of comedic entertainment. The season-long plot in which Larry David became a hero for a little deed that landed him in trouble came to a close in this final chapter. As the episode came to a close, Larry and his buddies continued to display the show’s eccentric sense of comedy by getting into an argument on an airplane. To celebrate Larry’s departure from the show in grand fashion, let’s revisit this hilarious series finale.

Curb Your Enthusiasm S12.E10 Recap

At the start of the show, Larry was arrested in Atlanta for breaking the law by giving Auntie Rae (Ellia English) water while she waited in line to vote. During the season, Larry’s acts made him an unintentional pop culture hero, even though he didn’t know what the law said or mean to say anything. As the hearing goes on, Larry’s mistakes from the past come back to haunt him and paint a very bad picture of his character. From taking shoes from the Holocaust museum to giving Bruce Springsteen COVID on purpose, the long list of crimes is both ridiculous and funny.

One important plot point in the finale is Leon watching all of “Seinfeld” at once for the first time. At the same time, Ted Danson leads protests in Georgia against a real law, and Richard Lewis (as himself) starts dating again with a woman Cynthia (Allison Janney), an old flame. But their reunion starts badly when Cynthia gives Larry the finger for trying to move into her lane. Larry’s group, which includes Cheryl (Cheryl Hines), Ted Danson (as himself), Jeff (Jeff Garlin), Susie (Susie Essman), Leon Black (J. B. Smoove), and Lewis, goes to Atlanta for the trial.

Judge Whittaker’s (Dean Norris) courtroom is where the hearing takes place. Larry and his lawyer Sibby Sanders (Sanaa Lathan) are going up against DA Earl Mack (Greg Kinnear). Even though the trial is very important, Larry starts to worry about unimportant things, like why there aren’t any roller coasters in court, Ted’s protest against the Election Integrity Act, and his belief that Cynthia is lying about her suicide attempt.

Character witnesses, such as Mocha Joe (Saverio Guerra), Mr. Takahashi (Dana Lee), Rachel Heineman (Iris Bahr), and even Bruce Springsteen (playing himself), are called by Earl during the hearing. As a witness, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a real-life Trump leaker, also speaks out against Larry’s alleged corruption.

A big part of the story of the last episode of Season 12 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is Jerry Seinfeld. When he gets to Atlanta, he finds out that one of the jurors in Larry’s case broke the rule about keeping the jury separate. Because both “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Seinfeld” were created and led by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, Jerry’s intervention adds a funny twist to the story and a nod to the meta nature of the show.

Even though Auntie Rae and Susie are acting out in court, Jerry Seinfeld shows up to back Larry. After Larry is found guilty and given a year in jail, Jerry finds out that one of the jurors broke the sequester. This caused the trial to be thrown out and Larry to be freed.

The final scene of Season 12 Episode 10 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” shows the group on a plane going back to Los Angeles. They get very angry over whether the flight window shade should be raised or lowered. Larry is told to go back to jail by a figure named Susie, who uses bad language. As Larry and his friends continue to argue over the airplane shade, fans are reminded of what made the show so popular: its knack for finding humor in the most unexpected places and its willingness to accept life’s flaws and quirks.

With the end of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” fans said goodbye to one of the most popular and long-running comic shows on TV. We will miss Larry David’s great sense of humor and the show’s ability to find fun in everyday things. In spite of this, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” will definitely live on, leaving behind a hilarious legacy that fans will cherish for years to come.
