Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 14 Recap

The episode began with Firehouse 51 responding to a call for an accident on the bridge, where a truck had broken through the bridge railings due to a tire burst. The group then proceeded to secure the load on the truck. While Severide hung from the rope in a vertical rescue stance in order to safely lower the truck driver who was clinging to the rails. Meanwhile, firehouse 72 arrived for aid, but it was a complete disaster. Stella was so taken aback by this that she decided to apply for the job of Lieutenant at 72 after finding that their current Lieutenant was transferring. Chief Boden agreed to speak with the 72nd chief and file the paperwork. The heater in the ambulance, on the other side, was broken, making things difficult for Brett and Violet. Violet also told Hawkins about the problem in an unpleasant conversation, and he got first in line at the repair business. Another firetruck, however, was inconvenienced by the wait, as Brett and Violet observed.

As a result, Brett advised Violet to tell Hawkins not to do favors for her since people could believe she is taking advantage of him. Moving on, Spiro, the original owner of Molly’s who sold the pub to Herrmann, came looking for him and instead met Mouch. He also asked if he might serve drinks at the bar one final time because he only had a year to live. Mouch was unaware of Spiro and Herrmann’s history and decided to help him out. Herrmann later told Mouch about how Spiro had drug lords engaged with the bar and how he barely got out of it all. Gallo went to the vertical rescue course training class and mentioned Severide’s name in the hopes of getting in, but there were no openings. Severide was furious with Gallo for using his name to gain entry. Later that night, after another candidate was hurt, Severide assisted him in getting up to speed on the course. However, Spiro proved Herrmann wrong by bringing in old customers and raking in a large sum of money in one night. Finally, Pelham came in to inform Stella that he would be taking over the Lieutenant’s job at firehouse 72, while Stell would be assigned to firehouse 51.
