Ashley’s boss allows her to go home early to prepare. And this is the right time. Instead of going to Janelle to pick up the scene, she meets Miles (Rafael Casal). Nancy looks at Sean (Atticus Woodward) and learns that the boy’s identity is not Black, but Honey Brown. Although Nancy is descended from a White woman, there has been a lot of conversation about what it means to be Black, including Earl, Janelle, and Trish (Jaylen Barron). Ashley (Jasmine Cephas Jones) eventually debunks the notion that Sean has never seen a black movie through these comments. Ashley talks to Sean about Miles’s captivity. She tells that it will be 5 years, they will go to see her, but Sean is not happy. However, Ashley uses one of the books she bought by Rainey (Helen Hunt) to help her understand what’s going on. The last scene of the show was the best. That the dancers wear prison uniforms. It all becomes more intense and heartbreaking by this fact. The scene depicts Young Sean (Atticus Woodward) being pulled over in heartbreak as he learns the truth about his father whom he loves. These final moments are powerful and are executed with grace and tenderness by the show.
