Meanwhile, Howard Hamlin’s opulent and OCD-driven clean lifestyle. He shares a home with his wife. However, based on their little screen time together, things do not appear to be going well. The fervor is no longer visible. Howard’s excitement, on the other hand, is sparked by his investigator. He’s been following Saul for quite some time. And during his work, he’s noticed Saul occasionally withdrawing large sums of money, boosting Howard’s suspicions about anything suspicious. The veterinarian (from Breaking Bad) returns to take care of Saul.

When Clifford Maine sees Kim in action, he realises he was right about her. Her tenacious defence of her pro bono client gives him hope that the Mercer Foundation, one of the largest in the country, will fund her work as well. She can’t wait to tell Saul the good news at his new office. Saul is overjoyed when Kim tells him the good news regarding Mercer. She also adds that the foundation’s presentation takes place on “D-Day.” Saul tells her that she will not be obliged to stay. The setting changes to a modest cottage in the German forests. Lalo pays a visit to one of Werner’s men. From the sculpture he took from Margarethe’s house in the previous episode, he obtains the maker’s address. The man flees, injuring Lalo and demands to know his identity. Lalo deceives the man and pins him down in order to learn more about “what Fring is building down there” (referring to the meth lab).

Saul instructs Francesca to phone the HHM office and obtain the dial-in code for a customer appointment. This is part of her larger Casimiro strategy. Mike is chastised by Victor, who delivers Fring’s warning that Mike hasn’t posted enough men at his house and has put more than is required on Alameda Street. Mike stands firm in the face of valid criticism. It is then shown why someone with his brain and skill set would undertake such a thing. Mike has moved his daughter and granddaughter to a house on Alameda Street and is determined to keep them safe, even if it means risking his own life. Ending of “Axe and Grind”  Saul and Kim, celebrate their achievements by drinking wine at the HHM complex. The day has arrived for them to carry out their plans. Kim travels to Santa Fe for the presentation, while Saul stays in Albuquerque to manage the Casimiro scheme. The real Csimior, whom he meets at a wine shop, has a cast on his left hand, much to his surprise and dismay. Saul’s images with the false Casimiro clearly show him without a cast on his left hand. In a panic, he phones Kim and tells her about the situation. She is surprised. Despite Saul’s pleas that she stay for the presentation, Kim returns to Albuquerque to put the plan into action.
