Another episode, titled “The Game,” is on the way, and Judge Lola (Simone Missick) faces yet another issue when Sherri’s (Ruthie Ann Miles) volunteer activity jeopardizes her judgeship. Ness (Samathan Marie Ware) receives her bar exam results.  Judge Lola is sitting over a case involving a high-profile hockey player in the clip (watch below), but an issue develops when Amy informs her that all sides have agreed to a misdemeanour simple battery plea. The judge quickly inquires as to why the accusations are so minor, and she makes it clear that she will not be treated differently in her courtroom.

The judgeship race’s numbers are far too close. Mark and Robin become agitated. Corrine Cuthbert took a ten-point lead. Lola is reminded by Robin that she has choices. Lola delivers a motivational speech during a campaign rally. Lola has had a setback and is depressed. David Sanders appears and informs Corrine that Lola has won and that she must accept her loss. Mark is irritated that Amy hasn’t divorced yet after six months. He congratulates Lola when she calls. Sherri puts Lola’s keycard to work with her magic. Lola is ecstatic and overflowing with caffeine. A man was injured when Luke’s new customer robbed a business. He does not want to go to prison because he assists with the care of his younger brothers.

Mark must either choose DA Choi’s replacement or take over the role. Ness has been working additional hours at Amy and Rachel’s legal practise and is requesting overtime pay. She sues them since they say they didn’t have a plan for it. When Lola encounters Judge Marshall, Lisa cautions her that he is conservative and that she should be cautious. Sara’s first customer is Tricia, the daughter of the man robbed and injured by Luke’s client. She recognizes the adolescent as Miles. She wants Miles to pay for her father’s death when they find out.

Because the incident occurred the night before Miles became 18, the case gets more difficult. Everyone is keeping an eye on Lola. She decides to transfer it to juvenile court but notes that the District Attorney can appeal and return it to criminal court and that this case was difficult for her. Rachel and Amy talk about Ness. Amy resolves to give her a job as a paralegal. When Emily arrives from Puerto Rico, she informs Carol and Luke that she is going to practise holistic law. The group gave Lisa a celebration after she was promoted to the court of appeals.
