It turns out that Jen and Rishi have been secretly engaged for three years, but Rishi has been keeping it from his parents. In the latest episode, Jen took matters into her own hands and enlisted the help of her American friend, Rande, and a translator to finally convince him to come clean to his parents. Rishi’s reaction was one of surprise and shock, but there was also a feeling of catharsis now that the truth had been revealed. After bidding farewell to Jen and her companions, he had a confidential discussion with his folks, and they expressed their disapproval of the betrothal due to Jen’s 15-year seniority.

In the latest episode, Rishi mustered up the courage to break the unfortunate news to Jen. Despite her recent move to India to be with him, Jen decided to call it quits, citing Rishi’s inability to make the most of their time together. “If my age is a problem, you should have considered that before popping the question,” she said. Her mind was troubled by the fact that he had once promised to defy his own kin just to be with her. She delivers the line with a sense of finality, removing her engagement ring as she speaks. I can’t be in a relationship where my partner doesn’t have my back.

In a dramatic confession to the cameras, Rishi revealed that he was torn between his loyalty to his family and his love for Jen. He admitted that he wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to Jen, but at the same time, he wasn’t sure if he was willing to go against his family’s wishes. He pleaded for more time, but Jen reminded him that three years had already passed and that time wouldn’t alter their disapproval of the engagement due to her age. She delivered the news to him in a straightforward manner that their relationship was not meant to be.

“It’s not gonna work out,” he said firmly, urging him to leave.”I’m just so hurt, honestly, I’m numb,” she confessed to the cameras. I don’t believe his intention was ever to cause me harm. Tears streamed down Rishi’s face as he tightly embraced Jen, confessing that he couldn’t bear the thought of losing her.  “I think it’s time for us to part ways,” she said. I think it’s time for us to part ways. “I love you, but some things are just impossible to work through,” the character said with a heavy heart. That’s not believable.

Jen firmly requested that he depart, recognizing that his presence was only delaying the inevitable separation and she required solitude. In a dramatic moment caught on camera, Rishi expressed his reluctance to depart from her apartment, uncertain of when their paths would cross once more. The character is experiencing a deep sense of isolation and despair.
