With her enchanting guise, she manages to captivate Prince Eric, portrayed by the charming Jonah Hauer-King, making him believe that she is the enigmatic woman who rescued him from the shipwreck. In the latest episode, Scuttle (played by Awkwafina) breaks the news to Ariel (still mute) that Eric is getting married. However, Ariel soon finds out that Eric has been promised to another woman.

In a dramatic turn of events, Ariel quickly discovers that Vanessa is none other than Ursula in disguise. With the unwavering support of her loyal friends, she sets out to expose what really happened to Eric and bring the scheming sea witch to justice. As the sun begins to set on the horizon, Ariel realizes with a heavy heart that she won’t be able to share a “True Love’s Kiss” before the deadline. This means that Ursula will emerge victorious, leaving Ariel and her loved ones in a state of despair. As the sea witch pulls Ariel down into the darkest parts of the ocean, she finds herself encounter to face with an unexpected visitor – her own brother, King Triton, played by the talented Javier Bardem.  The ocean king rapidly learns that he must give up his Trident to Ursula if he ever wants to liberate his daughter. As soon as Triton succumbs, Ursula orders her faithful eels, Flotsam and Jetsam, to pull his helpless body into the depths of the ocean.

In a thrilling twist, we’ve decided to switch up who gets the final victory over Ursula in the epic battle. This time, it’s Ariel who gets the last laugh instead of Eric. It may seem like a small change, but it’s sure to make a big impact on the story. As the conflict rages on, the prince emerges as a valuable ally, taking aim at Ursula with a well-aimed spear to grab her attention. With the Trident in her grasp, Ursula unleashes a powerful blast of energy toward him and Ariel, inadvertently causing the demise of her beloved pet eels. With a burning desire for vengeance, Ursula harnesses her newfound abilities and transforms into a colossal sea creature, unleashing a torrential downpour that ensnares our heroes in its watery grip.

As Ursula enters the scene, her eyes lock on Eric, the Prince stranded on a rocky outcrop. As the tumultuous waves of the ocean rage on, a number of long-lost shipwrecks are being unearthed from their watery graves and thrust into the light of day. As the camera pans in, we see Ariel aboard one of the ships. She confidently strides towards the helm, her eyes fixed on the task at hand. As Ursula is on the brink of taking Eric’s life, Ariel takes swift action and turns the ship to port. In a dramatic turn of events, Ursula is impaled by the pointed bow of the ship (her chest ).  we witness a ruthless Disney villain meet their demise in a manner strikingly similar to the original, with a twist.  As Ursula meets her demise, the seven seas and the surface world can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Her passing marks the end of her tyrannical rule and the dark magic that once held sway over the hearts and minds of many. This time around, the roles of Ariel and Eric are reversed, adding a new layer of intrigue to the story.

As the dust settles after Ursula’s loss, Eric and Ariel find themselves struggling to find their happily ever after. As Eric emerges from the depths and Ariel’s fate as a human remains unchanged, all hope appears to be dashed. King Triton, who has a cherished daughter, notices that she is now more melancholy than ever and is not unaware of this. The wise and loyal royal advisor, Sebastian (played by the talented Daveed Diggs), gives our strict yet kind-hearted monarch a much-needed reality check. As the story unfolds, our monarch comes to the realization that his beloved little mermaid is no longer the innocent child he once knew. In a dramatic turn of events, our protagonist exercises his extraordinary ability to fulfill Ariel’s deepest desire of transforming into a human, without any hidden agendas or conditions. As Ariel finally steps onto land, her eyes meet Eric’s and they share a passionate kiss, finally reuniting after all this time.

In a heartwarming finale, Ariel and Eric tied the knot, much to the delight of fans of the beloved original movie. But as the credits roll, we’re left with the sense that this is just the beginning of their exciting new journey together.  Eric finds himself in a heated confrontation with his mum, Queen Selina (played by Noma Dumezweni). The Prince sets his sights on the uncharted seas, eager to explore the unknown. However, the Queen has reservations about his plans and believes it’s best for the kingdom to stay within its own borders. . It’s also not that dissimilar from how things started out between Ariel and one of her parents.

Selina ultimately accepts her son’s independence from judgment and allows him and Ariel to set sail around the world in search of exciting new experiences in the vast, unexplored ocean. A touching scene unfolds, when Triton, Ariel’s sisters, and the rest of the devoted residents of Atlantica come to say goodbye to the princess and her husband before they go out on their adventure. A tear forms in Ariel’s eye at this, prompting her to give her father a final embrace.  And as the scene comes to a close, we see the final image is a recognizable one taken directly from the original animated masterpiece.
