The Good Doctor Season 7 Episode 2: Spoilers

The second episode, “Skin in the Game,” is about Shaun and his team facing new problems. Charlene “Charlie” Lukaitis (Kayla Cromer), a third-year medical student with Autism Spectrum Disorder, is the newest member of Shaun’s surgery team. Her love for surgery is almost as strong as her love for Taylor Swift.  Shaun has trouble making room for her. Charlie is thrilled about her shift and the chance to work with Shaun, who she looks up to. But her excitement about surgery gets in the way of a patient’s relationship with his daughter, which puts Shaun in a tough moral situation.

At the same time, Dr. Park (Will Yun Lee) takes on a difficult brain tumor case, showing how skilled and dedicated he is as a surgeon. As Lea and Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann) get used to being moms, the episode also shows more of their personal lives. This gives the intense medical drama a bit of warmth and humanity.
