The Big Leap Episode 2 Recap

In the year 2019, Nick is hosting a reality show that featured putting 12 competitors in a submarine below the sea, when an event involving the governor and the Coast Guard occurs. Nick continued to shoot against orders, prompting a class-action lawsuit against him and the network. The kids overhear Julia confronting Kevin about his porn addiction. She informs him that she will be performing in the dance show. Mike’s delivery job involves delivering coffee to a woman, and when the order is incorrect, he is reprimanded and coffee is thrown at him. He and the lady bond over how bad their lives are at the moment, but second chances do exist.

Gabby’s mother is irritated that she resigned from her job for this show, and she doesn’t seem to believe that she can use this as an opportunity to resume her dance career. Nick wants to pair Gabby, Reggie, and Brittany for the White Swan, Prince, Black Swan performance. Monica’s explosive temper occasionally interrupts the rehearsal when Justin makes a mistake, causing Monica to lose her cool. Paula tries to persuade Mike not to abandon the white swan game that his friend is now engaged in. Mike and Paula’s romantic tension is growing, and there’s a sense of impending doom looming over them. Paula shows up at Mike’s bar with his buddies, demanding to know why he won’t dance with her, and his pals explain that he has previously cheated on his wife. She informs him that they must practice right away. With his buddies cheering him on and her driver waiting for her, Paula and Mike dance.

Nick and Monica have a sexual relationship. Wayne provides Julia some much-needed encouragement. Meanwhile, Simon tracks down Justin at the basketball court, which they use as a practice facility for the next few minutes. Simon is anxious to assist his friend with the casting audition, which needs Justin to maintain steady control over pirouettes and other challenging moves. The exercise gradually evolves into a positive dance competition. Justin leaps to new heights with his breakdancing, which he performs with the basketball as a prop. As they swing basketballs and imitate each other’s styles, the exercise helps them connect.
