HBO has unveiled the official first images for THE LAST OF US Season 2, Episode 4, and it’s shaping up to be one of the season’s most intense chapters yet. While HBO has not yet confirmed the episode’s official title, two possible names have circulated in fan discussions and search results: “Day One” and “Secrets.”

One of the most striking moments in the trailer and image is a silent but intense scene: Dina, visibly shaken, points a gun at Ellie.

In the Video game, Ellie’s immunity is quickly talked over, and Dina thinks Ellie is joking. But it looks like the show is giving this moment more emotional weight. It looks like Ellie’s mask breaks during a chase with the Infected in the preview, and Dina reacts with fear and confusion. This version of the scene could be a major moment for the series — one that reshapes Dina and Ellie’s relationship.

Also introduced in this episode is Isaac, the leader of the WLF (Washington Liberation Front), played by Jeffrey Wright. Isaac was originally voiced by Wright in the video game, and now he returns to embody the character in live action. In Seattle, the WLF are a serious threat — heavily armed, organized, and not afraid to take out anyone in their path.
The teaser gives us our first look at the WLF in action, along with some cryptic dialogue from a survivor asking, “Are you Isaac?” It sets up a looming confrontation between the WLF and our protagonists.
New cast members joining this season include Young Mazino as Jesse, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, and Spencer Lord as Owen — all familiar names for fans of the game.
