He gives Kal-El a chance to join his fight. Shocker: Supes refuses. To save the residents of Smallville, Superman needs Lara, the technology to power Tal-Ro’s “elimination” machine. The Solar Flare imparted energy to the edge’s soldiers, and who now pose a threat to the Man of Steel.
