Shining Vale Season 1 Story
Patricia is a rebellious ex-girlfriend in Shining Vale who became famous by publishing a drug-addled novel about women’s empowerment (also known as lady porn). Pat has become a sober but dissatisfied lady after seventeen years. She hasn’t finished her second manuscript, can’t recall the last time she had sex with her husband (Greg Kinnear), and her children have reached the point where they despise her parents. Pat is a dutiful wife until she makes her single mistake: having an affair with a young handyman. In a desperate attempt to repair the marriage, she has the family relocate from the city chaos to a vast, ancient mansion in the suburbs with a bleak history.
