Who is Mahek Bukhari?

Mahek Ali Bukhari is a British TikTok star who was born on May 22, 1999 and is known for posting videos about fashion and beauty. She went from the United States to Pakistan and then to England, where she lives. She went to St. Margaret Ward Catholic Academy and Newcastle College to study fashion. Mahek finished college at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2021. Many people follow her on social media because she is very active there. The two of them are very close. Her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, is the managing director at City Security Plus.

Mahek Bukhari was on the verge of becoming famous on TikTok. She was then caught up in a disturbing chain of events. Ansreen, her mother, helped her as she became a well-known advocate. The story took a dark turn, though, when Ansreen’s relationship with Saqib Hussain through the video app Azar turned into a rocky one that lasted three years.

Ansreen ended her friendship with Hussain in 2021. In response, Hussain said she would show Ansreen’s husband and son inappropriate footage. In this dangerous situation, Ansreen told her daughter Mahek what was going on, and Mahek decided to handle things herself.

For Hussain to come to a meeting place, Mahek and her friend Rekan Karwan came up with a plan to offer him £3,000. After that, terrible things happened that led to the deaths of Saqib Hussain and his friend Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin.

What happened to Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin and Saqib Hussain?

Mahek and his helpers Raees Jamal, Ameer Jamal, Sanaf Gulamustafa, and Natasha Akhtar were waiting for Saqib Hussain in a Tesco parking lot in Leicester. Hussain wasn’t expecting them. In the very early hours of the morning, Hussain and his friend Hashim Ijazuddin got there. But things turned scary when they saw that two cars were following them. Jamal was driving a blue Seat Leon and Karwan was driving an Audi TT.

When Hussain saw how dangerous it was, he called the police to say that he was being watched and was scared for his safety. After they tried to get away from their attackers, tragedy struck. Along the A46, a rescue driver found the bodies of Saqib Hussain and Hashim Ijazuddin in a car that was on fire. As things went on, they showed how bad things were, leaving a town in shock and grief.

Where is Ex-TikTok influencer Mahek Bukhari Now?

Soon after the killings, a series of events happened that led to the arrest and trial of those responsible.  Right now, Mahek Bukhari is spending the rest of his life in jail. She was found guilty of killing Saqib Hussain and Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin in a cold-blooded way. For their part in planning the terrible events, Mahek and her mother Ansreen both got long jail terms. The influencer’s sentence was appealed, but she is still in jail and will have to wait at least 31 years and eight months before she can be considered for release.

The decision came down in August 2023, and Mahek was given a life sentence with a minimum of 31 years and 8 months. Another person who was given a life sentence was Ansreen, her mother. The minimum sentence was 26 years and 9 months. Judge Timothy Spencer KC emphasized how bad their actions were by saying that the case was about love, passion, extortion, and murder through cold blood.

Mahek tried to avoid justice by making up stories during police interviews, even though the charges were very serious. During her trial, she didn’t seem sorry for what she did. She played board games and laughed with her co-defendants. The judge scolded Mahek for her inflated sense of privilege and her lack of awareness of the harm she had caused.

As of the most recent information, Mahek Bukhari is still in jail serving her sentence. An appeal has been filed to overturn her murder verdict. The sad story of TikTok fame gone wrong is a stark warning of what can happen when personal relationships get in the way of trying to become famous on social media.
