Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 5 Recap

Firehouse 51’s inaugural Halloween Open House. It connected people and kept teens off the streets at night. Chief Boden hoped to stop the teens from misbehaving. Boden designated Brett Halloween chairwoman, and no one else volunteered to help prepare the event. She wrote on the board while facing away. When she looked around, most of the room was gone, and she had to guilt-trip the last stranglers into joining her committee. Brett wanted to bobble apples or carve pumpkins. She was told that sounded too young. This event targeted teens. The group recommended a haunted house to accommodate them. Brett thought that sounded complicated, but it was the best idea and wasn’t hard. Finding haunted house items was easy. Firefighters often removed Halloween debris. Mouch gave them a guillotine. A buyer almost sliced off his head while testing it. His wife told him she was tossing it away. Due to his hospitalisation, the man couldn’t speak.

Mouch offered the wife an alternative. He returned the guillotine to the firehouse and discovered that others had failed. The party store was mostly empty when they searched. Most kids and parents got the good stuff. Brett wanted to bail on the spooky house, but one of them told a passing mom. Their eerie mansion was known everywhere. Now they were stuck. Teens plagued the firehouse. They responded to a domestic dispute instead of a fire. Mom and teen fought. Fighting escalated. They yelled. Jenny, 15, left after the firefighters suggested walking it off. Good. Jenny’s eviction became the firefighters’ problem. They couldn’t leave a teen girl. They advised her to stay with a friend or neighbouring relatives. Jenny’s buddies are schoolmates. No family live close. Firefighters called social services afterward. Jenny refused. She called her dad to come collect her. She said that all day. Firefighters assumed the father would never arrive. They also noted she never puts down her bag. Kidd checked that luggage while sleeping. Jenny woke up before she could figure out where the money came from. Kidd searching her purse frightened her. She fled. Kidd was clueless. Kidd went to Jenny’s house to inquire whether her mother had seen her. The mother said social services called. Jenny was taken. They held her. Mom was done.

Her ex-addict died of an overdose after being kicked out. Jenny blamed her mother. They’ve been yelling since. It didn’t turn violet until the firefighters interrupted because Jenny’s mother couldn’t take it anymore. She didn’t know what to do so she let her daughter stay with social services. Kidd called again. She discovered Jenny was staying at a local girls group home. Jenny registered. Strangest stuff. The home manager had never seen anything like that. Kids rarely know when to ask for help. Jenny’s first. Kidd visited Jenny and chatted. Jenny heard she saw her mum. Jenny wondered if her mom was furious. Jenny stole. She pawned her mom’s ring. She obtained money that way. Jenny acted because she hated her mum for “killing” her dad. Kidd had to correct her. Nobody killed Jenny’s dad. Addiction killed him. Jenny should quit blaming her mother for that. Jenny’s mother could inform the police. She declined. She cares. Kidd returned Jenny’s ring. Jenny returned to her mum when she was ready and offered a haunted house. Poor haunted house. They got amazing items but had to take everything down since the woman who spread the information came her kindergarten class to the house. To avoid traumatising babies, they took it down quickly. Violet felt normal again. She advised Gallo and Darren. Unwise. Gallo slept Tracy at Molly’s and used Carver’s favour to remove security camera film. Darren dated a straight man and his girlfriend. Violet was happy when they fired her because she felt like herself again.
