Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 20 Recap
George Sr. had told his wife not to be concerned about what her church might think of Georgie having an unmarried kid. Mary wasn’t exactly welcoming, especially with tensions between the marrieds at an all-time high as you’ll recall, last week’s family meal culminated in a frank conversation about the Coopers’ tumultuous marriage. She eventually confided in Rob, who gave her the same counsel that her husband had given her. When George later learned that his wife had contacted Rob, he wasn’t startled. “Of course,” he scoffed, before pointing out that Mary now spends a lot of time with Rob. Sr. became irritated when he realized Rob’s advice was identical to his own. Mary tells her twins about becoming a father to Georgie and is also asked to keep it a secret. Mary’s biggest nightmare came true not long after that. Mandy’s pregnancy had become public knowledge before her weekly Bible study. When no one showed up, her first reaction was to phone Rob. The entire Cooper family was aware of Georgie and Mandy’s plight by the end episode. George had gone and told Wayne, Mary had told Rob, Sheldon had told Professor Linkletter, and Missy had told a classmate. When Georgie discovered that everyone had sprung their traps, he was furious. he was having trouble getting Mandy to return his calls, and she hadn’t yet informed her parents that she was pregnant and Missy took it upon herself to apologize. She also expressed confidence in her brother’s ability to be a good father.
