Clea is a formidable magic practitioner who rivals, if not surpasses, Doctor Strange. Clea was born to two dark deities in the comics: Prince Orini, the previous ruler of the Dark Dimension, and Umar, Dormammu’s sister, making her Dormammu’s niece (Dormammu, you may recall, was the villain of the first Doctor Strange movie). They marry after an apprenticeship that blossomed into a relationship between them. In the comics, she even succeeds Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme when he dies.

“Doctor Strange, you’ve caused an invasion, and we’re going to fix it,” she says in this rendition. “Unless you’re afraid?” Clea asks as she tears a doorway into another dimension. Before entering the vortex behind her, Strange answers, “Not in the least.” We don’t know where they’re headed yet, but this might pave the way for a Doctor Strange 3 – or for her to appear in another project.
