During the week of Nov. 2, 2020, ABC’s season premiere of “The Good Doctor” stood as the No. 1 gainer in TV playback in Total Viewers (+4.48 million) and Adults 18-49 (+0.7 rating points-tie).

In fact, with a lift of +4.48 million viewers from Live+Same Day to Live+7 Day, “The Good Doctor” posted the largest playback increase for any show on any network in Total Viewers in more than 7 months – since its 3/30/20 telecast. After 7 days of TV playback, “The Good Doctor” premiere soared to 9.3 million Total Viewers.

With “The Good Doctor,” ABC delivered 3 of the week’s Top 5 playback gainers among Adults 18-49: “The Good Doctor” (+0.7 rating points) – No. 1 (tie), “The Conners” (+0.6 rating points) – No. 3 and “The Bachelorette SP-11/5” (+0.5 rating points) – No. 4 (tie).

“The Good Doctor” was the only broadcast program of the week to deliver triple-digit playback growth among Adults 18-49, soaring by +100% from its Live+Same Day rating to Live+7 Day. With 7 days of TV playback, “The Good Doctor” grew to a 1.4/9 in Adults 18-49.

Excluding sports and news programming, ABC claimed 7 of the week’s Top 15 highest-rated series in Adults 18-49, marking the most for any network (CBS – 4, Fox – 3, NBC – 1): “The Bachelorette SP-11/5” (2.1/11) – No. 2, “The Good Doctor” (1.4/9) – No. 3 (tie), “The Conners” (1.3/7) – No. 5 (tie), “The Goldbergs” (1.1/6) – No. 9 (tie), while “American Housewife” (1.0/5), “Dancing with the Stars” (1.0/5) and “Supermarket Sweep” (1.0/5) tied for No. 11.
