The Equalizer Season 2 Episode 2 Recap

Robyn was contacted by a Saudi woman, Mira Shah. Mira risked her life to get Robyn’s help. Her brother, Ali Hadi, was running. Mira feared her parents knew something but wouldn’t say so. Ali was to be married, but he refused since he was dating an American. When Robyn went to Ali’s apartment, it had been looted. When Robyn was inside and a trio of males entered the flat, she fled to the fire escape. The men fired at her, but Bishop swooped in and rescued her and Mel. He surprised Robyn. Detective Ken Mallory asked Dante about the vigilante he nearly caught. The DA now wanted him to arrest her! Robyn went to interview a bar owner, Reza Mansour. Since a raid on a Bee safehouse yielded no results, the Saudis thought Ali was their commander, Descendant X. They needed support from Zaki Bahar, Harry knew.

Harry had set up the man’s computer security to escape detection. Robyn persuaded Harry to meet him. When Harry did, Zaki drew his revolver. Then he talked Zaki down and helped him to the safe home. Then Vi called Robyn on her way to the safe home, saying she spotted evidence that Delilah was heading to a Megan Thee Stallion concert in Philadelphia. Bishop shocked Robyn again when she arrived. They found a deceased Saudi enforcer inside. Dante warned Robyn that Det. Mallory was after her. Robyn learned Ali was meeting with the American. She went to find Ali but found Reza. The dots proved Ali and Reza were a couple, and the taboo was forbidden in their culture. Ali wasn’t a descendent, but Reza was. To his partner’s chagrin, Ali overheard the safehouse raid

Reza suddenly got a call from Ali, who was encircled by the men. Ali said he loved him and hung up. Robyn pleaded with him to aid her, but he sped away to help Ali. For the sake of Ali, Reza dashed to the embassy to inform Nora Shah. Robyn pursued him, persuading them to aid her. Hasan Hadi, Ali’s father, met with the kidnappers. He pleaded with his son to let go of his protector, but Ali refused. Given his condition, Hasan had to let the men kidnap his son. Robyn enlisted Bishop’s aid. Mallory rode up to Robyn. Bishop interrupted Ali’s torturous interrogation, stating the CIA had him. Suddenly, Mallory and the cops raided the conference, arresting everyone but Ali. Due to a deal arranged by Bishop, Robyn restored Ali to his family, but he could never return to Saudi Arabia. Mira and her parents were sent back to the Kingdom, and she was not allowed to see her brother again.

Vi couldn’t believe Robyn let Delilah go to the concert. After the case she just finished, she needed her family to be trusting, especially after everything they had been through. Robyn offered Delilah some money because she wasn’t honest. Vi was pursuing the girl when Delilah returned to the door. She inquired where they were heading and Robyn said ice cream. Delilah joined them for ice cream to confess. While restoring a relationship with no secrets.
