The series stars Monica Raymund from “Chicago Fire” as Jackie Quiñones, DUI charges were formally dropped at the end of Hightown Season 1, allowing the National Marine Fisheries Service agent to go on with her life and focus on getting sober. Since “Hightown” ended on a cliffhanger, Starz promptly renewed the crime series for a second season. The new season, which starts tonight, will see her determined to make the most of her second opportunity as she tackles the looming issue of a dangerous new drug known as the Great White. move to, Renee was a bit of a pawn in the game last season. Hightown Season 2 Episode 1 Release Date

Hightown Season 2 Episode 1 set for October 17th, 2021, at 9 PM ET/PM on STARZ in the U.S. and in Canada. and the remaining episodes will be available to stream at the same time.  The second season’s production began on November 19, 2020, and ended on April 2, 2021.

Hightown Season 2 Plot

In the second season of “Hightown,” the picture-perfect version of summer on Cape Cod clashes with its off-season reality. Jackie Quinones (Monica Raymund) achieving her dream of becoming a real cop, is out to do some good in this world. Thrust immediately into the crime wave of deadly carfentanil flooding the Cape, Jackie is laser-focused on bringing down drug dealer Frankie Cuevas (Amaury Nolasco), the man Jackie holds responsible for the death of her best friend, Junior. For Jackie, it is personal but then again, for Jackie, everything is personal. When Frankie’s cousin Jorge (Luis Guzmán) joins his operation, he introduces a new level of violence and chaos. With disgraced officer Ray Abruzzo (James Badge Dale) off the force and mired in depression, Jackie finds a new partner in Leslie (Tonya Glanz), the only other female on the force. Through it all, Jackie must walk the tightrope of sobriety as she struggles to stay above an ocean of secrets, betrayal and the shame and failure of her past.

Rebecca Cutter, who will make her directorial debut in the new season, also created Hightown. Two episodes of the ten-episode second season will be directed by Rachel Morrison, with series lead Monica Raymund, as well as filmmakers Brandon Sonnier, Radium Cheung, Antonio Negret, and Eagle Eglisson, all directing.

Hightown Season 2 Cast

In addition to Raymund returning as Jackie Quiñones, James Badge Dale, Riley Voelkel, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond, and Dohn Norwood will all return in the upcoming season, which will also feature guest star Luis Guzmán as Frankie’s charming but deadly cousin Jorge Cuevas. Daisy will be played by Jona Xiao, Rafael Quinones will be played by Carlos Gómez, Petey will be played by Mark Boone Junior, Vernon will be played by Cecil Blutcher, and Janelle will be played by Crystal Lee Brown.

Hightown Season 2 Episode 2

The first two episodes of Hightown, titled Great White and Girl Power, will premiere on October 17th and 24th, 2021, respectively.
