Law and Order: OC Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

Stabler gets into a battle with Luca while undercover as Eddie, who challenges Eddie’s commitment to the Albanian mob. Unfortunately for Luca, he is engaged to Costa’s daughter, and mob norms demand that Costa must kill Eddie in punishment for his prospective son-in-law being beaten up. Bell believes Stabler should be removed from the case or, at the very least, admitted to the hospital with a stomach ailment so he doesn’t have to face Costa. Stabler is adamant in his refusal. That would jeopardize his mob’s trust in him and make him appear weak. Bell grudgingly agrees to stand by and observe when Costa is dealt with.

Stabler tells Eli that he loves him and tries to leave a message for Liv expressing to her how he feels about her, but her voicemail cuts him off, so he quits up. Despite Luca’s constant moaning, Costa gives him another chance. Stabler is called in to replace Luca at a planned robbery of a pub where a bookie stores his money after forcing an Albanian to throw a boxing fight. It irritates Brewster. He wants to apprehend the mobsters before the robbery, but Bell and Stabler say he can’t. Stabler feels guilty after shooting a man in self-defense during the heist. Meanwhile, Jett collaborates with Malachi to get hacked phones into the hands of New York gangs, allowing them to infiltrate key crime operations.
