FBI: International Season 2 Episode 16 Recap

At the beginning of tonight’s episode of FBI International, there is a wedding. The groom’s father is searching for his knife, which he insists on getting so that the bride can cut into her cake. He claims that it is very important to both him and her mother. He then goes back into the house, where he discovers the knife; after pulling it out of its sheath, an explosion occurs. Others inside the house are coughing and calling out for assistance, and the father is still alive. After going outside, he discovers that his daughter, her new husband, and all of the other guests have all been murdered.

Three months later, in Rome, two men are traveling along a street when they are ambushed by a group of people. They attempt to make a break for it, but there are too many attackers for them to succeed. One of the men is shot dead, while the other is taped and brought in front of the Coliseum. We can make see the groom’s mother and father in the backdrop. David LaPorta, the chief executive officer of a prominent manufacturing company, was the victim of this abduction. LaPorta was kidnapped while his partner Costa was put to death. Jubal (Jeremy Sisto) was the one who carried out the background investigation on LaPorta 3 days before he mysteriously disappeared. The FBI had previously run the check.

The group leaves for the coliseum in order to investigate the crime scene there. There is not a single person who can testify to what happened, and LaPorta’s phone is off. There is no demand for a ransom, nothing. As Forrester tries to have a conversation with LaPorta’s wife, she is angry and can’t think of anyone else who could wish to hurt her husband. She claims that he and Costa have been close friends for as long as either of them can remember. She instructs them to have a conversation with his assistant because she is aware of everything that takes place with him.

Kellett and Raines have a discussion with Sabrina, who is the assistant to LaPorta and Costa. She is the only one left at the workplace because she sent everyone else home to be with their families. According to her, the men were hard at work in the office up until about seven o’clock last night. She is unaware of the person with whom they were scheduled to meet, which is not an unusual occurrence. She provides details about their partnership, revealing that they have never been able to agree on anything. A little over a year ago, she overheard a discussion in which Italian officials contacted LaPorta. It appeared that the Taliban had planned some sort of strategy to abduct an engineer and exploit him to bring down structures. LaPorta placed the responsibility on Costa for getting him involved in the situation. They laughed about it when it was all done as if it never happened.

There is a widespread notion that LaPorta was abducted because he has the ability to demolish the things he has constructed. They take a peek at some surveillance video and see that the same males have been in the area for the past three nights in a row. In addition to that, Jubal and Nina Chase come all the way from New York to lend a hand with the investigation. According to Jubal, in Nyc, they had an undercover cop named Scola attempting to track down a foreign buyer. This buyer was looking to obtain industrial explosives, and the name LaPorta came up during their investigation. As a result, they believe there is a connection between the two. They believe that there is an immediate danger and that someone plans to attack New York. They are under the impression that LaPorta is being utilized in the plotting of the attack. The man seen in the video is their most promising line of inquiry at this point.

Forrester advises Jubal to relax because the way things are done around here is different, but Jubal is irritated because they are waiting for information on LaPorta’s phone. Nina phones New York, Scola hasn’t checked in, and Isobel Castille advises her that she has to have faith that he is okay despite the fact that he hasn’t checked in. Scola gives Nina a call, finds out that he is doing well, and informs him that she is currently working on the case in Rome. The phone records will require a few more hours of work on our part. Forrester instructs Jubal to fetch his coat since the two of them are capable of figuring out the situation on their own. They are going through every business bill from the last three months with the assistance of Sabrina in order to find a trend. They identify a trend, and it involves a man named Dmitry Dovhal who was drinking drinks in the same establishment that Costa was.

Dovhal traveled to Rome a few days earlier. Jubal is under the impression that it is their boyfriend, so he arranged a sham meeting with Costa using Sabrina’s address to find him in Rome. They proceed there and find a door that has been left unlocked. After raising their weapons, they proceed upstairs and discover a tea kettle that is boiling over on the stove. They discover their man outside on the balcony; he has been shot twice in the chest and has died; this eliminates one of their leads. Due to the delay in obtaining the phone data, Jubal has come to the conclusion that the man has passed away. Forrester encourages him to take a deep breath and cool down since his actions are not going to be beneficial.

As it appears like Dovhal may have been a spy, Jubal is eager to learn everything there is to know about him. Isboal receives a call from Jubal, who updates her on the situation and informs her that the actors in this scenario are from Belarus. After conducting additional research, they discovered that Stanislau Lenkov, who was living in Rome and was the father of the bride, was originally from Belarus. They learn that nearly twenty members of Lenkov’s family were killed in the attack that took place three months ago. They suspect that it was Ukraine that carried out the attack. It would appear that Lenkov holds the United States responsible and has the motivation to attack them.

Forrester continues to push back with the local authorities until he finally succeeds in getting everyone on the same page. The authorities then provide Forrester and the others with unconfirmed information on where LaPorta could be hiding, and everyone heads in that direction. After going inside and calling for help, Jubal, Forrester, and the rest of the group find a man, along with a lady and a child. Jubal shoots at a person he sees running, but his bullets miss their target and go through the youngster who was carrying the gun. This is merely a private residence; this is not the location where they detained LaPorta. They discovered Dovhal’s automobile nearby, but it was obvious that it had been abandoned there.

Jubal and Smitty have a conversation concerning the raid, during which Jubal reveals that the decision to carry out the operation was his and that it is the only lead they have. They are then given a cake, and the location of the crime scene is revealed to be LaPorta’s workplace. Sabrina is still alive; she went into hiding in order to avoid being killed. This works despite the fact that the folks who went in there were careless on the computer. To the advantage of the crew, they are able to locate a place where they suspect LaPorta is being held, but the facility has very stringent security measures. Both Jubal and Smitty are in agreement that they will go inside. Nina is told by Jubal that she will not be going in because she is pregnant; nonetheless, Nina goes anyway, and Jubal doesn’t listen to him and continues to ride in the car with Forrester.

FBI: International Season 2 Episode 16 Recap: Nina Gets Shoot

They have arrived at the scene and have begun removing the males who are standing outside the house. Within, they begin ambushing their adversaries one at a time, using the element of surprise. They locate LaPorta, but unfortunately for them, he has already passed away. They find themselves in the basement. There are still two mercenaries who have not been located. Nina gets shot while they are attempting to eliminate the remaining members of the missing mercenary group. Jubal is standing over her and yelling at them to find a car so that they may take her to the hospital as soon as possible. While they are driving, Nina tells Jubal to reassure him that she will be all right. She loses consciousness before they arrive, but because they were so quick, they are able to put her on a stretcher and take her inside.

It turns out that she was bleeding a great deal, and although doctors heard the baby’s heartbeat, there was a lot of damage to the mother and the unborn child. While Forrester and the crew are searching the house, Jubal remains at the hospital. During their search, they discover something, which is a piece of paper with some numbers and letters scrawled on it. Nina’s prognosis is not yet known, but she is holding up well and Jubale wants to be at her side no matter what. Isobel gives him a call and tells him that he can’t come to New York because she needs him there, Forrester discovered a notepad in the villa with a serial number written on it, and the impending terrorist attack is getting closer. Until Nina has fully recovered, Forrester will be by her side. Isobel believes that he should keep this information to himself because Scola is undercover and there is a lot of pressure on him. He is of the opinion that it is unethical, whilst she claims she has no other option.
