“The Way Things Are Now” is the title of the next new episode of Epix’s new horror series FROM. According to ‘From’ Episode 2 Synopsis: At Colony House, Tabitha and Julie grapple with their new nightmarish reality. Out in the forest, Jim, Boyd, and Kristi struggle to treat Ethan’s injuries. Tragedy strikes from an unexpected source as a new threat arise in the town.

FROM Season 1 Episode 1 Recap
Harold Perrineau’s character Sheriff Boyd Stevens looks troubled. He’s filthy, sweaty, and appears to be in severe need of a shower and a shave. He travels down a run-down street, striking a bell to signal the townsfolk that it’s time to go inside. Lauren and her daughter Megan are waiting for Frank, Lauren’s husband, to get home, but he’s passed out somewhere else. Megan and her mother are brutally murdered as she opens her window after an elderly lady arrives at her window. The Matthews are traveling in their RV when they come upon a downed tree in the road and are forced to turn back. Lauren and Megan’s funeral is held in town, and the Matthews come during the service. They come to a halt and ask for instructions, which Boyd provides, albeit they soon realize they are going in circles and will return to the same town. The Matthews get into a car collision with another vehicle, so Boyd and Kenny prepare tire tracks to halt them the next time they pass through town. Boyd and other residents of the community rush to the scene of the collision to assist. Toby, one of the men in the other car, is taken to the local hospital, where he is visited by a strange girl named Sara. Paramedic Kristi works on little Ethan Matthews inside the RV with a rod in his leg, as Tabitha and Julie are whisked away from the scene and back to the town before dusk. Before killing Toby, Sara kisses him. After striking the tire tracks, Tabitha, Julie, and the rest of the townfolk return to town, but they are told to leave to the Colony House. As night falls, Boyd stays inside the RV with Jim, Kristi, and Ethan, placing a talisman in the window. and soon after, people encircle the RV.
