Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 16 Recap

Scott came across Kayla, a young girl. He asked Marcel to examine the child in order to provide a more accurate diagnosis. Marcel proposed that Kayla have surgery to figure out what was wrong with her. Scott and Marcel realized Kayla’s intestines were not functioning at all during the surgery. To get better, she required a transplant. Taylor also treated a patient named Kiran who couldn’t feel her legs or walk properly. Kiran was examined by a prominent doctor, who found nothing wrong with her. As she explained that her daughter Varsha was having an arranged marriage, Charles struck up a conversation with her. Taylor was taken aback by the planned wedding, but Charles assured her that the arrangement had worked for decades. Kiran’s illness was revealed to be caused by the stress of her daughter’s wedding, according to Charles. Varsha’s father did not love her, thus Kiran did not want an arranged marriage for her.

Meanwhile, after recovering from Covid 19, Will took care of a patient who was having problems. Dean and Marcel attempted to save a baby from the womb of a deceased mother. Unfortunately, the baby died, and the grandparents agreed to give the infant’s organs. Kayla was saved thanks to Marcel and Scott’s successful intestinal transplant surgery. Scott also helped a patient who had been stabbed with a scissor. Milena called Scott and requested that the patient be released because he was an informant in her drug bust case. As a result, he decided against preparing the man for surgery and discharged him. Maggie became concerned when the man reappeared with a new injury. Scott recognized he had made a mistake by dismissing the man. Dr. Hannah Asher was welcomed to the hospital by Sharon and Dean.
