The episode opens with Chuck putting on a brave front as the office throws him a special retirement party after he loses his job as Attorney General due to Prince’s calculated ploy. In the meanwhile, Dave takes over his position. While she sympathizes with him, she also tells him that he can’t try to exert power behind the scenes. Chuck’s friends and along with his father arrive to whisk him away for a spa weekend. Ira (Ben Shenkman), Judge DeGiulio, and Chuck Sr. persuade him to take a break. Meanwhile, the boss at Mike Prince Capital is having a good time. He instructs Wags (David Constabile) and Scooter (Daniel Breaker) to convene an all-hands meeting at Prince’s residence. Wags demands more information, but Prince remains enigmatic. When Kate destroyed a school building during a protest, her father paid off the headmaster’s mortgage in full in order for the incident to be expunged from her record, allowing her to attend a prominent school.

To go back to Chuck’s not-so-easy weekend. During the weekend, it doesn’t seem like he’s getting much help. But at some point, there’s a spark that gets him going again. That same man shows up later that night when Chuck and his friends are having a good time drinking and laughing with some women at the bar. A rich man named Ron Chestnut is played by Matthew. Throughout this, Kate (Condola Rashad) learns about some of the forces that worked against her when she worked for Chuck. Chuck’s friends try to persuade him to see things from a different perspective, but he remains fixated on pursuing vengeance on Mike Prince. He tries feverishly to get a new career, despite his friends’ warnings that it is not the best decision for him right now. Chuck’s emotions are lifted when he arrests a foul-mouthed upper-class man for misbehaving in a bar. The incident has only strengthened his drive to bring down shady characters in society, and he intends to avenge Mike Prince.
