Who kidnapped Cordell in Walker season 2 finale?

Walker’s Season 2 finale ended on a cliffhanger and was paid for by the show’s lead character. We got to look back on a lot of the events of the season and experience some resolution to the family conflict along with some tear-jerking scenes. The main topic of discussion in the finale was really just a straightforward question: Where is Cordell?

The Walker family as a whole is involved in their most intimate battle yet in Walker Season 2, going up against their old adversaries and next-door neighbors, the Davidsons. In the season finale episode, Geri and Cordell first had to create a pretend to fight for Gale’s sake, in which they said some harsh things to each other, in order to persuade Gale to admit to killing Marv – she had snapped after he told her about Geri and hit him in the head with the lantern, sparking the fire. After the confession, the mother and daughter were up stuck in a burning barn, but Cordell arrived in time to save a trapped and unconscious Gale. The Walkers received their ranch back when Gale agreed to tell the police everything and expressed his regret to Abeline. Denise acknowledged slashing Cordell’s saddle as well. Liam decides to work on the ranch, Stella is close to graduation, Captain James offers Trey a place as a Texas Ranger, and Geri tells Cordell that it was still too early for them to be together.

The Walker family returns to their family ranch after the horse race’s secret is revealed, However, before Season 2 ends, while the family was preparing for the big day, Walker is ambushed on the ranch and abducted by unidentified figures, leaving the rest of the family wondering where he has gone.

In the final minutes of the episode, the plot changed; the writers decided to put a major wrench in the works by kidnapping Jared Padalecki’s character.  who is responsible? What happened? It’s possible that it has something to do with what we’ve seen in his recent investigations or even with Cassie’s past or what she’s working on. Anna Fricke, who is in charge of the show, told TVLine some of the following:

This is something that we’re obviously exploring in Season 3, and our writers’ room is up and running, so we are right in the thick of discussing all of that. I will say that Cordell has gotten too close to something in his investigation, and it’s possible that something unexpected from his past comes back to haunt him.

We’re thrilled about this cliffhanger, of course, because it presents a chance to discover something new about Cordell that we didn’t already know. It also provides a great opportunity for writers to try to escape the situation at some point. Isn’t it correct to say that their goal, if they really intended to challenge themselves with a big twist, had been accomplished? We often take for granted.
