They come to see the distraught parents of a young guy who died during the Ludd riots when they travel to a farm. After initially being dubious, the parents learn that their son’s uploading was a terrible fact rather than a hoax. As everything is going on, Ingrid and Nathan the duplicate are growing closer to each other in Lakeview, both mentally and physically. Unexpectedly, Ingrid tells her handler Tinsley (Mackenzie Cardwell) that she replaced Nathan’s original copy after losing the original. With no recollection of the previous month, the new Nathan offers Ingrid a new beginning in their relationship.

David Choak asks his handler what’s going on since he’s worried about seeing Nathan in the real world as well as the virtual afterlife. When Aleesha reaches out to Luke after discovering his erased memories, they both find solace in making new memories together. At a crucial juncture, Nathan and Nora talk about their small disagreements and decide to get past them. They kiss and makeup before continuing their journey.
In the digital afterlife, backup Nathan and Ingrid are seen sharing a lunch at the end of the episode. When Nathan questions Ingrid about her new appearance and diet, she admits that she lied to be with him and never really uploaded herself. Nathan forgave her, surprisingly, just requesting that she refrain from lying going forward. Ingrid makes the decision to keep this backup copy of Nathan alive and gives Tinsley the order to reverse the deletion, enabling the backup copy to endure one more day.
