The Rookie Season 5 Episode 14 Recap

Although Snowfall‘s Brandon Jay McLaren’s Elijah Stone did not make a physical appearance in the episode, his influence is nonetheless felt throughout the story and has far-reaching repercussions. This was made very clear to us when it became apparent that he was likely responsible for the death of Judge Rivas. When it came to Elijah, Wesley Evers (Shawn Ashmore) once again puts himself in danger by playing with fire. Wesley and Monica are having a disagreement, and the judge decides in Monica’s favor, which comes as a surprise to Wesley. Tim gets an early start for his first day on Metro and heads out the door. Nyla believes that the judge’s performance has been declining, and she suggests that Wesley should try to persuade him to step down from his position. Tim is having a difficult time adapting to his new position as a liaison officer for Metro and the department overall. Celina (Lisseth Chavez) makes several attempts to persuade Nolan to invite his mother to the wedding. Chen receives a phone call from Tamara, who informs her that the mother of the child she is watching has been reported missing. However, the fact that the husband is present while claiming that his wife is absent from the scene raises some eyebrows. While Bailey is transferring a patient, someone shoots the EMT driver, and the ambulance comes dangerously close to being involved in an accident.

Because the court consistently rules in Monica’s favor, Wesley and Nyla are certain that she is paying off the judge in order to shield Elijah’s soldiers from being prosecuted. This behavior smacks of corruption. They have a conversation with the husband, and from that, they learn that his wife Sonia is being kept for ransom. Angela is troubled by the possibility that the husband could be a suspect in the disappearance of the wife. Nolan and Celina come to a burning vehicle, which they believe may be connected to the incident. Somebody kills the firefighter who is currently at the spot while they are there. Grey receives a phone call from Nolan’s mother, who is trying to convince him to talk to her and another person. Since things are starting to get serious for Tim, and Lucy Chen (Melissa O’Neil), Tamara admits that she has been trying to acquire additional funds so that she can leave the house. Wesley approaches the judge with information regarding his collaboration with Monica and his assistance to Elijah. The judge has strong feelings regarding the matter. The person who is targeting current firefighters is a former firefighter who became bitter after being demoted and has harbored resentment for his former colleagues ever since. The young man, Cosmo, makes contact with Tamara and invites her to come over.

Nolan discovers that his mother has passed away. Tamara learns that the husband is talking on the phone from what she overhears. When Nyla and Wesley go to visit the judge once more, they find him already dead in his office, and Wesley is convinced that Elijah is to blame for his death. Angela is finally successful in getting her husband to open up, and it turns out that one of his customers has taken his wife. Sonia is being held captive, and Tim is in charge of leading the effort to rescue her and eliminate the men who are holding her captive. Angela, Chen, and Thorsen are all a part of the mission. Chen had a conversation with Tamara about how the two of them are family and should not move out. Aaron makes the decision to take the money from his mother after all. Wesley had a confrontation with Monica. After receiving his victory, Tim will be going out for cocktails with Metro.
