Ashley Johnson, who voiced and acted as Ellie in the games, is briefly seen in the trailer as a pregnant woman in a run-down farmhouse. What will happen in The Last of Us (Finale) Episode 9?

Ellie and Joel, continuing their search for the Fireflies, can be seen in the preview (below) for Episode 9 entering Salt Lake City. Ellie narrates, “After everything we’ve been through. It must have some meaning or purpose. There is no room for negotiation here. What we begin, we see through to completion. We’re nearing the end of this section of Joel and Ellie’s story, and from the looks of the shots we’ve seen of them dodging a smoke bomb and Joel firing at an unknown assailant in the hospital, it’s possible that this won’t be the best ending for the couple. Is this a real possibility, or will this turn out to be another false lead? Those who have played the game before know how divisive and impactful the conclusion will be. Even if you haven’t seen the previous episodes, you should go into the season finale prepared with a box of tissues because you will need them for the emotional climax.
