Netflix has no lack of unique blockbuster films, however, this will be their greatest one yet. Netflix has reported its plans to adapt to The Gray Man based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel of a similar name. Joe and Anthony Russo are set to direct, with Joe Russo also writing the screenplay. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely performing a re-write.

They have the opportunity to work again with Chris Evans. Ryan Gosling is appended to star, with shooting planned to start in Los Angeles in January 2021 while worldwide areas are as yet being explored.

The Gray Man follows Court Gentry, an independent professional killer and previous CIA operator who passes by the movie’s namesake.

Netflix is putting over $200 million into this movie, making it their most costly task ever.

The Gray Man Novel

The Gray Man is the debut novel by Mark Greaney, first published in 2009 by Jove Books.

The novel follows Gentry on a mission across Europe to rescue his handler, Sir Donald Fitzroy, and his family in Normandy, France from Lloyd, a member of a massive English corporation who wants Gentry terminated in order to shepherd a billion-dollar deal for oil interests in Nigeria, where its president, in turn, wants Gentry dead for the assassination of his brother.

“These are ace professional killers and Gosling’s characters get singed by the CIA and Evans’ character needs to chase him down,” Joe Russo said.
