The Good Fight Season 6 Episode 1 Recap

When Diane gets back from her vacation, the office complex is deserted. Marissa Gold, who is now a lawyer, informs her about the unrest being caused by protesters in the city. She accepts a significant case from Diane in an effort to win Diane over. Diane thinks she is having a kind of deja vu because of the protesters, Marissa helping her unpack, the tear gas, and the birds heading directly into her window. In their instance, Liz and Diane are dealing with a metaverse case of sexual assault. Liz has another concern in addition to the case. She might soon have to split responsibilities with a second partner, according to Mr. Osman, who was present at the STR Laurie meeting. The second partner, Ri’Chard Lane, arrived at the office while Liz and Diane were in court. In no time, Lane had taken control of the situation and started to change it to his liking. Diane and Liz attempt to refute Willow, the alleged victim of a sexual assault in Chumhum’s metaverse, in court. Because it’s animated, they think it’s not a real assault. Additionally, Willow had numerous opportunities to leave the metaverse by turning off the goggles.

Bill, Willow’s attorney, wants that the assault be demonstrated using the same goggles and a haptic suit. The judge puts them on and goes through what Willow did. Later that evening, everyone at the company plays around in Chumhum’s metaverse. Jay, working undercover, is able to observe Willow flirtatiously conversing with other online avatars. Willow ultimately admits in court that she did visit the avatar who attacked her. She was seeking some sort of resolution. She still thinks that in the end, nothing will have changed. She was attacked. Diane decides to study more about déjà vu among all of this. She arrives at Dr. Lyle Bettencourt’s office via a metaverse ad. In an effort to understand what she is going through, he offers her PT-108. On her side, Moyo helps Ben-Baruch from the underworld while Marissa loses all sense of self-awareness. Someone detonates a phoney explosive when Diane, Liz, Marissa, Jay, and Moyo are inside a lift in the final scene of the episode. The grenade has a warning label on it. The following one would be genuine, it says.
