The Flash Season 8 Episode 11 Recap

Ronnie implores Caitlin to help him. She recognizes each of the Black Flame victims at S.T.A.R. Labs and understands it has been looking for her. Despite Barry’s fears that the Black Flame is attempting to manipulate her, she and Chester create a strategy to save him. She also informs Marcus, who consequently ends their relationship. Ronnie makes touch with Cecile and asks her to release him. She senses his anguish and suggests to Team Flash that they put him to rest. Flash tries to imprison the Black Flame in the fusion sphere after he travels to where Ronnie and Caitlin proposed to each other. Caitlin and Frost arrive and destroy it, with Cailtin splicing the Black Flame with a quantum splicer; Ronnie is freed and passes out.

Meanwhile, Allegra is concerned that Chester’s open-source technology may be misused. Tinya violently makes Iris vanish in Coast City. Sue returns to Central City and informs Barry. That night, Ronnie awakens and turns into Deathstorm, revealing to Caitlin that he is not the real Ronnie. After Team Flash utilised its umpteenth alteration of that plastic-looking cold fusion orb to induce a change, someone resembling Ronnie did emerge from the Black Flame. But later that night, in a private conversation with Caitlin, “Ronnie” admitted that he is not the reincarnation of the guy she once loved but rather Deathstorm.
