Which Roy scion will take over Waystar RoyCo when their father Logan Roy (Brian Cox) inevitably passes away has been the central conflict of Succession ever since its HBO debut back in 2018. Logan Roy’s demise seemed inescapable from the beginning. The towering father has ultimately been put to death in Succession Season 4 Episode 3. The acquisition of Waystar Royco was reportedly nearing completion, and Roy and his team of advisors were en route to Sweden to meet with billionaire Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgrd), the CEO of digital streaming media giant GoJo.  After the third episode of season 4 of Succession aired on HBO, a trailer for the third episode was published. as well as being available on tvacute.com. Succession Season 4 Episode 4: What to Expect

A promotional video hints the fallout of Logan’s death, including who betrays who and the GoJo agreement, as well as the aftermath. The death of Logan is the climax of the entire series of Succession. Now that Logan’s offspring, employees, lovers, and rivals are all vying for control of Waystar RoyCo.  In episode 3 of Season 4, Succession finally did the deed and killed off Logan Roy. And then what? A nasty battle to see who gets the scraps from Waystar RoyCo. In the preview, everyone wants Logan’s job before his corpse is even cold. Greg says, “I am sad,” Karl presents a convincing case for why Tom shouldn’t be CEO, and Shiv goes all drinky-drinky with Lukas Matsson. Before the season ends, everyone gets an opportunity to pull a backstabbing move on someone else.
We’re aware that the status of the GoJo agreement has not been settled. When it comes to getting more money out of Matsson, Kendall, and Shiv are on the side of Stewy (Arian Moayed) and Sandy (Hope Davis). Last week, Logan pleaded with his kids not to pressure Matsson, thinking the Swede might back out of the contract if they did. Does this effectively kill the GoJo deal?
Without Logan as a shared enemy, we will get to witness how well Kendall, Shiv, and Roman’s partnership holds up so far this season. We’ll also get to see if any new enemies emerge to torment the Roys as they deal with their loss. There will undoubtedly be a show for weeks without Logan around, but he was the rock, and we think this was the moment that made it clear that season 4 would be the last. However, the title of the next new episode is “Honeymoon States.” The promo of episode 4 of Season 4 can be found below.

Succession Season 4 Episode 4 will air on April 16 from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. Twice tonight (at 10:01 and 11:37 p.m. ET) there will be encore broadcasts.
