Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 7 Recap

It all starts with Layton dreaming of a very different Snowpiercer in the third season’s seventh episode. His subconsciousness, however, continues to live in a dreamlike state. Despite Asha’s best efforts, Layton succeeds in opening the locker and peering into a snapshot of the tree he sees in his visions. Layton awakens from his coma after a shocking realization.  In his dream, he is kidnapped by two unknown men, but Javi, Wilford, and Ruth come to his rescue. He visits Ben, who issues him a pass that allows him to cross the border while still on the train. He crosses the border with others while posing as a dancer. He meets Roche and trades Winnipeg’s doll for another. Josie discovers Layton in the Tail and takes him to Dr. Pelton. He survives death but enters a coma. It turns out Layton and others were lying in the dream, notably LJ. She tells the cops to kill everybody. Layton escapes and is apprehended. Pike comes to him and wants him to repent of his misdeeds. Bess asks Miss Audrey to help Layton by entering his mind. Audrey begins chatting to Layton, asking him to come out of the dream that keeps him from waking up. In his dream, Layton begins to see Audrey as she frees him from prison. Layton requests to meet the Tail’s supervisor. Josie lets him in, he meets the boss, his adult daughter Liana. Layton recalls the photograph of the tree after waking up from his coma. When Winnipeg’s doll explodes, he is taken to Asha’s automobile. An opponent attempts to assassinate him and Asha, but he kills him. He recalls seeing the photos while rescuing Asha from the subterranean reactor, causing his imagination to conjure up visions of the same.  On the basis of his visions, he chooses to lead the Snowpiercer to New Eden, believing himself to be the savior of humanity’s remnants.  Layton realizes that New Eden may be another bleak and frozen wasteland, just like Eden.  Realizing this crushes his drive to colonize New Eden.
