At penssa, Haniwa, Baba Voss, Paris, and Tamacti Jun (Christian Camargo) come. Tamacti claims that the queen believes he is dead. When Baba and Haniwa arrive at the door, they struggle their way inside. When Baba finally sees Maghra again, he hugs and kisses her. They are joined by Kofun and Haniwa, who give them a family embrace. Then Lord Harlan (Tom Mison) appears and interrupts it. Maghra tells Baba that this is Harlan’s house, and Harlan discloses that he and his wife are married.

Kane refers to Baba as a slaver. The queen is interrupted by Paris, who reminds her that Maghra has dedicated her life to loving and raising her children. Kane informs the visitors that Maghra is about to embark on a voyage as her messenger for a peace accord. Maghra has been warned by Paris. Kane is also warned by Baba. He then gets up and walks away from the table, enraged. Kane just can’t seem to stop smirking. Maghra joins Baba and explains that she required Lord Harlan’s protection. She begs him to put his faith in her. He begs her to leave, taking their children with them, and return to the mountains. She admits that she is the only one capable of challenging her for the crown and saving the kingdom. She’ll rule until she achieves long-term peace, at which point she’ll give over authority to Harlan.

Maghra tells the two military officers that she intends to carry out the diplomacy since she has other options. Kofun then takes Baba Voss out into the woods and spends some quality time with him. A courier delivers a message to Lord Harlan. The horse of the Lord’s brother is discovered in the woods.
