‘Secret Invasion’ Episode 5 [Harvest] Recap: Ending Explained!

Secret Invasion Season 1 Episode 6 Recap

In the exciting “Secret Invasion” climax, Fury makes a tearful parting call to his wife, Priscilla/Varra, setting up the possibility of his uncertain return. The guards then start a fire when a car pulls up to the gates of New Skrullos, but to their amazement, Fury is not in the car. He wanders into the Skrull base, which seems strangely vacant and discovers the bodies of Skrulls who had turned against Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir).

In the post-credits scene, Rhodey/Raava (Don Cheadle) is seen being adamant about carrying out a nuclear attack on the Skrulls. The admiralty is cautious, though, and wants to make sure that the Russians are really working as a team with the Skrulls. Rhodey intensifies the call for the strike by displaying live footage of Russian forces marching toward Finland and Ukraine.

Fury fights radiation poisoning within the Skrull compound, which makes it difficult for him to breathe. He confronts Gravik, who admits that he imprisoned all the Skrulls to keep them from fleeing the approaching attack. Fury tries to take iodide pills in an effort to combat the symptoms, but Gravik prevents him from doing so. Gravik also makes fun of Fury for utilizing Skrulls as spies in the past and holds him responsible for their suffering.

Gravik is very angry with Fury and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) because he thinks Talos transformed the Skrulls from a warrior race to beggars. Fury acknowledges his failure to find the Skrulls a new home and acknowledges that he should have constructed one on Earth. When Gravik makes a threat to murder Fury and then attacks humanity, the situation gets worse.

Unexpectedly, in order to get the Skrulls to leave Earth, Fury offers Gravik the Harvest, a collection of DNA from the Battle of Earth participants. Fury appears to be trapped inside the Super Skrull machine when Gravik turns it on. Special Agent Sonya Falsworth (Olivia Colman) calls Rhodey in the hospital to inform him that Fury will be arriving soon.

Gravik’s true identity is revealed in the reactor chamber when the machine shuts down. Before he can use all of his power, however, G’iah played by Emilia Clarke appears, having duped Gravik into giving her the same abilities he took. With the combined skills of many characters, she emerges as the MCU’s most potent hero.

G’iah and Gravik engage in a riveting encounter that highlights the abilities of many Marvel characters. Fury alerts the President of the Skrull infiltration in the meantime and implores him to postpone the attack. Gravik is ultimately vanquished by G’iah, and the President ends the strike after learning the truth about the Skrulls.

In his address to the country, President Ritson declares war on all foreigners. Priscilla/Varra and Fury cross paths in the wake of the Skrull uprising. As they talk about their relationship, Fury declares his love for her and his intention to go back to S.A.B.E.R.

Sonya offers G’iah an alliance and pledges to aid the Skrulls in their struggle against Ritson’s war. Fury challenges the President once again, but his attempts are ineffective, so he gives up in disappointment. But Varra’s unexpected appearance causes a bombshell concerning negotiations with the Kree.

Together, Fury and Varra leave Earth, prepared to take on fresh challenges. Nick Fury’s return is assured by the promise of new projects like “Armor Wars” and “The Marvels,” which are the episode’s epilogue. The dramatic and action-packed “Secret Invasion” has fans eagerly anticipating what the MCU has in store.
