Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler, Season 3, Episode 6 Recap

Alfie is in charge of a team that is sent to Morocco ten years earlier to find Sandra’s father. Alfie discovers that Sandra is getting closer to finding out the truth about her father in the main chronology of the show. When Thomas gets to Wayne Manor, he and his father have an awkward reunion. He asks his father to recall a pleasant memory from his youth. As you could guess, they cry and cuddle each other instead of fighting. But Thomas exits the manor. Alfie addresses the Prime Minister about holding Sandra’s father in secret after Sandra speaks out in front of the world about the attempts on her life. But the PM disputes these assertions. Sandra queries Alfie about whether he believes he has made another error as they find themselves in bed together once more. In response, he tells her that although he has made many mistakes, this is not one of them.

Alfie attempts to convince her to let him go alone tonight, but she insists that she must come along as well. And Paloma Faith as Bet Sykes joins the show considerably later than anticipated. She is being held captive in the chancellor’s office.    When Jon Salt inquires about how Bet discovered him, she replies that she works for MI5. He slaps her because he doesn’t believe him. She then admits that Frances Gaunt was the one who led her to him when he makes a threat to harm the child. Jon instructs his guys to blow up the baby’s stroller despite this. However, Jon views it all as a game because the stroller was empty. He still commands his troops to murder Bet and destroy the body, so this does not imply that he has softened. When Alfie finds the gun stashed in his mother’s fireplace, he discovers that she is with Roger and that there are strong indications that they had shared a bed. Roger accepts to date Mary after Alfie departs. Bet discovers a nursery where all of Jon’s infants are housed. She locates Julie with assistance from a nurse.

However, Jon stabs her in the back as she is speaking to the infant. He begins to beat her as she flees in anguish. She shoots him as he teases her. She eventually “shuts him up” by tricking him into slashing himself during the battle. Sandra finally discovers that her dad is held in a secret prison within the nation. But according to her source, there is no way for her to free him. Sandra makes the decision to contact the media as a result. But that’s not going to happen; according to her source, the culprits will just take her father somewhere else. The source recognizes Alfie as one of the British troops who abducted her father as he interrupts the chat.   Alfie assures Sandra that her father was only a target and that nothing about it was personal. He also apologizes. Alfie asserts that the source is not her father’s friend because he betrayed her father. Sandra kills the source with a gun before leaving Alfie behind. Bet is holding the infant outside in the cold as she muses over her next course of action. The following scene involves leaving Julia on a bus with a letter for Peg. Bet suffocates as the bus departs. Dave is found by Alfie wearing only his boxers. Alfie, though, is too busy with their next task to talk about it. Thomas’s father enters an alleyway in Gotham after strolling around the streets. Thomas kills his father with a gun.
