In a shocking turn of events, the beloved character of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Mark Harmon, is notably absent from the credits of this season. This marks the first time in the show’s history that Harmon’s name does not appear, leaving fans wondering what could have led to his departure.

The episode features NCIS team is investigating the murder of Amanda Grayson, the daughter of a US senator. Jimmy Palmer, a doctor, has a bad day, as he is already stressed before he arrives late at the murder scene. Senator Grayson wants Miles Bauer, a forensic pathologist, to consult on the case, and this frustrates Palmer, who knows Bauer from college. The team investigates and finds evidence pointing to Arthur Vernon, but Palmer believes that the time of death is wrong. Palmer’s theory is that Amanda was killed hours earlier, while Vernon was at a doctor’s appointment. Vance sides with Palmer, and Vernon is released. Later, the team discovers another body, and Senator Grayson demands Palmer be fired. Vance sends Palmer home to cool off, and the team tries to figure out who’s framing Vernon.
