NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 Episode 5 Recap

In episode 5 of NCIS Hawaiʻi, the team has to protect Tatyana Sokolov, who is engaged to a navy officer who has gone missing. The family that Tatyana comes from runs the biggest private military company in the world and is known for making money off of other people’s pain. To change the way her family does business and steer it away from war, she wants to go to a peace meeting.

Tatyana, on the other hand, meets strong opposition. Protesters have thrown a paint bomb at her and made physical threats. Even though it will be hard, NCIS is responsible for keeping her safe. Lucy, one of the spies sent to work with Tatyana, hates her job, but Tatyana sees a link between them because they both come from wealthy families and have ties to groups that support war.

Tatyana tells Lucy about her plan to leave the country and start a new life in the US, away from her family’s business. But her betrayal is tricky because NCIS has to work with the State Department to get important information in exchange for keeping her safe from Russian threats.

As the episode goes on, it becomes clear that the peace meeting is just a front for the Sokolov family and the US government to make a huge arms deal. Tatyana’s brother plans an attack on her because he wants to kill her. This puts Lucy in a dangerous position where she has to protect Tatyana from threats from all sides.

Tatyana is finally given refuge in the US, but she loses everything, including her family and the life she had before. At the same time, Sam is put in charge of an elite task force that works out of Hawaii. This makes sure that he stays on the team.
