Mayans M.C. Season 5 Episode 4 Recap

The success of EZ’s (JD Pardo) Mayans M.C. depends on his ability to usurp the Lobos New Generation’s drug operations in the United States. He upsets his soldiers by trading 12 cases of stolen weapons for heroin production materials. For their combat efforts, EZ stresses the significance of keeping the medicine pipeline open. Hank tells EZ, Angel Reyes (Clayton Cardenas), and Bishop (Michael Irby )that Creeper learned about a rat in the clubhouse and shared the information with them. Creeper had heard this from a prisoner and is convinced it was true. Bishop wants to take swift action, but EZ wants to keep the matter under wraps for the time being.

In this episode, Bottles, a new character, is shown as part of the club’s activities. He open up about his difficult past, including multiple surgeries he underwent starting at a young age. Despite the challenges he faced, he remains committed to the club and sees prospecting as a minor hardship compared to what he has already endured.

Mayans M.C. Season 5: Is Lobo Dead?

Tragically, during their break, Lobo (Loki) enters the garage and unknowingly consumes Fentanyl, leading to a fatal overdose. Bottles discover Lobo in distress and call for help, but it’s too late. Sofia, a vet tech, tries to resuscitate Lobo but is met with silence when she asks about the arrival of paramedics. Bottles is devastated by Lobo’s death, and Sofia leaves the clubhouse angrily, blaming the others for not saving him.  Her lack of clear boundaries led to a dramatic moment where she had to perform CPR on someone who was on the brink of death. Unfortunately, this event has caused a major rift between E.Z. and her partner, and it remains to be seen if their relationship can recover. Angel proposes they cease making heroin because of the risks, but EZ is adamant about finishing the deal with Cole.

When Miguel Galindo (Danny Pino) and Soledad’s cookhouse were attacked, they immediately blamed their new business partner, Eduardo Villar-Fuentes. A shell casing and a child witness help Miguel piece together that the attackers spoke English. Based on the boy’s description, Miguel immediately accuses Angel. Hank runs across an old friend, Nails, at the assisted living facility where he visits his mother. The chemistry between them is palpable in their conversation. EZ offers guns and money to Broken Saints president Johnny Panic in exchange for a pact to keep the club safe when he visits the club’s property on the Salton Sea.

Mayans M.C. Season 5 Episode 4  Is EZ the rat?

Katie McNeill (Stella Maeve) talks to Kevin Jimenez’s wife, who gives her husband’s work materials, including audio recordings, from his last job. When she acquires Kevin’s files and audio recordings from his previous assignment, she finds a tape in which Kevin specifically identifies EZ, suggesting that EZ might be the rat in Santo Padre and might have killed Kevin. If Katie decides to tell Creeper about this information, it puts EZ in danger. In an effort to get away with the automobile EZ left for her, Emily Galindo (Sarah Bolger) goes shopping with Luis and Maria. But then a woman interrupts her, saying that Emily is a murderer and that she won’t get away with it.

The episode concludes with Eduardo Villar-Fuentes (Enrique Castillo). Luisa “Adelita” Espina (Carla Baratta) slits Eduardo’s throat with the knife he had just used to kill herself. A small girl, crying and hiding, is found by her. Gilly speaks a few words at Lobo’s grave after his burial by the Mayans. The topic shifts to EZ, and Gilly offers his congratulations.  After EZ’s feelings regarding Lobo’s death and her own daughter’s death are stirred, Sofia confronts her. The club is crumbling apart, EZ admits, but the cookhouse has been relocated, he assures her. Katie has identified the rat within Santo Padre and the possible murderer of Kevin. Creeper could get into problems if she tells him EZ’s name.
