“Knocked Down, Knocked Up” may be the series’ final episode. The fundamental conflict of the episode stems from Gwyn Davies’ (Matt Ryan) discovery that the “Alun” (Tom Forbes) provided to him by Gideon (Amy Pemberton) last week is actually an android copy. That transports him to World War I, and more particularly to a predetermined point in time that cannot be changed and is guarded by an unseen and lethal operator. Because the remainder of the team is unable to go through time at the start of the episode, they must figure out how to save Gwyn’s life without attracting Gideon’s attention and voiding the retirement bargain they made in the previous episode. it’ll be interesting to see how the character evolves while keeping Faison’s fundamental traits.
