Law and Order SVU Season 23 Episode 2 Recap

Danny Q is eager to assist the ongoing investigation against Howard in the second episode, so he seeks a means to reach Jenna, the only person who can help the SVU team. Danny Q used to be an undercover detective known as Joe Velasco who specialized in investigations, and he takes the team to a location where Jenna could be hiding. Detective Kat is shot twice as she enters the room, and Velasco stops Jenna from fleeing. Kat nearly passes out but is resurrected thanks to a series of shocks and surgery. Jenna’s father had troubled her when she was younger, and Velasco and Rollins are aware of this. Jenna’s mother also tells Velasco how she became pregnant with Howard’s baby when she was 15 years old. Howard is approached by Benson and Carisi, who present him with all of the evidence they have against him. Howard reveals that Gold is the mastermind behind it all and that all he did was carry out his orders. Gold, on the other hand, remains unpunished as the situation becomes increasingly politicized. Detective Kat speaks with Benson about her future, which appears to be dismal if she stays on the SVU. She has no intention of following Benson’s lead and spending 20 years or more in the division, which she now recognizes. Garland leaves the force because to the unit’s decreasing ethics, and McGrath gives Benson more responsibilities as a result.
