Law and Order SVU Season 23 Episode 11 Recap

The episode begins with Benson’s child in a cage wearing a dog collar and being filmed by a bully. When Benson inquires as to what’s going on, the boy speaks clearly. We then move to a Latino home, where Tino, an eight-year-old boy with an aptitude for gaming, lives with his uncle, Carlos, an irresponsible hack who sends the youngster to his girlfriend’s house to get high on marijuana and drink several beers. While the child is gaming, a pervert contacts him and arranges for the two of them to meet in a corner. Tino takes Carlos’ computer, and Teddy Murtaugh, a pervert, picks him up, drives him to his house, drugs him, and sexually assaults him.

Because Tino fails to appear, the family notifies the cops, who dispatch the SVU. Later, the team uses the signals intelligence from Carlos’ computer to track down the pervert to his flat, where they discover Tino tied to a radiator. Teddy Murtaugh had sexually abused him, so they took him to the hospital. The SVU is on the lookout after that. To begin, the apartment where the crime was committed was rented through a Venmo account with a fictitious profile. Second, the SVU limited the manhunt to Murtaugh’s house, where the child molester was found stabbed and bleeding to death. That was the assailant who stabbed Tino? When the SVU looks into the child molester’s assault, they narrow it down to Carlos, who posts bond and gets free.

During the arraignment, the child molester is offered a plea bargain and is released on bail. The SVU, however, is not pleased, and they decide to take a more difficult path to trial. Then something unexpected happens. Carlos’ girlfriend’s kid, Andre, has accused Carlos of molesting him. Andre is questioned by the SVU, and the story develops as the man threatens to jump off a roof the moment they decide to make a move on him. Benson admits that he was mistreated and that he did really abuse Andre when he climbs into the roof to bargain with Carlos. They take Carlos to the hospital, where he describes how a middle school instructor sexually molested him. Carlos eventually pleads guilty to two counts of child abuse and has his name added to a sexual offender register. Benson has an open and honest chat with her kid at the end of the episode.
