[Finale] The Oval Season 5 Episode 22 Recap — Who Died?

The Oval Season 5 finale

The drama in Tyler Perry’s The Oval hit a peak in its Season 5 finale, which took place right after President Biden’s State of the Union Address. Even though things were already very tense, the end was a roller coaster of feelings, betrayals, and shocking news.

By the last hour of the season, Hunter and Victoria’s relationship had already reached an all-time low. This is saying a lot when you consider that we first saw them fighting at his opening ball. After a nervous 30 minutes, the Franklin family gets back together. In a poetic moment of justice, Jason gives his mother Victoria a kick in the gut as he runs away from his captor.

Hunter got a little better treatment from his son, but only because he promised to protect Jason from Victoria’s father, who obviously knows that Jason killed his grandmother.

But, as usual for the Oval, the most important parts of the finish were saved for the last 10 minutes. But what was even worse was that we were left on a frustrating (dare we say disappointing?) cliffhanger. After Hunter and Victoria’s side failed to come to an understanding, he told his mercenaries to attack Victoria’s side.

The fates of many important figures are still up in the air after the battle. Richard and Nancy’s marriage is the only thing that is known to have been lost, but the lives of characters like Hunter, Victoria, Jason, and others are still unclear. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, making people eagerly anticipate the next season to find out who will live and what will happen to those involved in the White House’s troubled affairs.

Now that the big events of the season ending are over, “The Oval” fans can’t wait for the next season to see how these events will affect the later seasons of the show. One thing is for sure: life at the White House is never dull because so many people’s lives are in danger.
